Periscope was created in 1943 by Harry Williams, and I believe this was the second game they produced. According to Russ Jensen, Harry Williams told him that the first game from the company was Superscope, a fortune telling machine. Russ knew a fellow who had a Periscope, and was to get a picture of it, but never did unfortunately. As you can see hilited in the ad, Harry was a big name designer even back in the early 40's. Also shown is another early Williams revamp, Liberator.
